He's been a legislative assistant and principal speechwriter for a member of the congressional leadership, and a special assistant and ghostwriter for the director of a major Washington-based arts organization. He’s also served as editor of “Working Smarter, Not Just Harder: Three Sensible Strategies for Succeeding in College…and Life (2017),” by Dr. Karl W. Reid.
Rick has captured two regional Emmy Awards for his TV commentary on Milwaukee Public Television, and two National Headliner Awards for his syndicated column.
Rick is a graduate of Brandeis University and NYU School of Law.
